Ivelina Dimitrova graduated from the Law Faculty of Sofia University St. Kliment Ohridski.
After obtaining her Master of Law degree, Ivelina further specialized in "Legal Regulation of Relations in Construction and Architecture" at the University of National and World Economy in Sofia. This additional qualification has strengthened her expertise in the regulatory framework governing the construction industry, enabling her to provide strategic legal counsel to companies operating in this sector.
Her practice includes advising parties involved in real estate transactions by conducting comprehensive due diligence on property ownership, limited property rights, and potential encumbrances. Her experience extends beyond the Property Act to include the Agricultural Land Ownership and Use Act, the Restitution of Nationalized Real Estate Act, and the State Property Regulations, ensuring in-depth and thorough legal assessments of real estate transactions, including those involving nationalized and restituted properties.
Ivelina Dimitrova also has extensive experience advising investors in the realization of their construction projects. She assists in analysing the zoning status of properties and construction feasibility. Her expertise spans the entire legal process of investment projects, from the approval and amendment of detailed development plans to obtaining construction permits, certifying construction works, and commissioning completed buildings.
Additionally, she has significant experience in civil and administrative litigation concerning property rights and limited property interests. Her practice covers representing clients in ownership disputes, as well as assistance before administrative authorities, particularly in cases involving contestation of building permits, urban planning disputes, and regulatory compliance matters.
Before joining the legal team of Stankov, Todorov, Hinkov & Spasov, Ivelina Dimitrova was part of a law firm specializing exclusively in consulting construction companies on acquiring property rights and executing construction projects.
Currently, she serves as the Chief Legal Advisor for a leading construction company in Bulgaria, playing a key role in ensuring regulatory compliance throughout the construction process and facilitating real estate transactions.
